Basically how I've learned CNC machining

But the way I see it, if you're not having to put on fresh undies semi-regularly, you're not growing.
I managed to get to the e-stop before disaster, and the whole incident opened my eyes to just how little I was "sending it" with my adaptive clearing parameters.
I never would have thought I'd be able to do full slotting with an 8mm endmill, at 10mm depth of cut in steel (it's only a roughing endmill, but still).
Very much looking forward to rebuilding the headstock, and getting a proper spindle into it. But that'll have to wait for now.
