On a side note, how do I get to complete reading Huntsong with YONDER closing down and not allowing me to buy coins anymore?

2025-02-28 21:35:02 +0000 UTCThe conclusion to the palace of fates will most likely be the finale of season 10. So you can expect Paba to take her Christmas break when it's over. I suppose the ending to this current arc will have a very big impact on how I view season 10 as a hole, but even if it's fantastic, I suspect it will be my least favorite since season six and below. In my opinion, the reason for that is that Paba hasn't adjusted her writing style to her new workflow. There's to many characters taking screen time in every plot, making the pacing of the individual stories feel slow, in a bad way. She could get away with this when she wrote a quadrillion words per week, but this was a problem that was always going to get worse with the arrivals of even more characters(and it's not like she can stop adding them). But it's important to remember, that the pacing we perceive as weekly readers and patreons, is not what matters the most, in terms of the overall quality of the story. What's more important is how it's perceived when its all done, and you can read it on your own schedule. But I suspect that the overall pacing of season 10 will still feel degraded compared to season 7-9. The obvious solution to this, is to just spend two calendar years on every season from now on. But imagine having Laken as your favorite wandering inn character, and after years of him being slightly sidelined, seeing him finally getting a nice chunky arc of five chapters. Only for Alevica to swoop in and steal the show, and more importantly, the word count. This is something that can never be fixed by restructuring.

2025-02-27 05:14:06 +0000 UTC"We can wait for the finale." finale?! i hope that's entirely scheduling based? what story arc is even close to having a progression at this point? mini-erin, nerry, the horns, the inn collapsing the gold market, have all been completely dropped for the palace of fates. finale to the palace of fates arc makes sense, but in the past that hasn't been the type of chapters that are labeled finale by pirateaba. hope this isn't rushing to create a finale based on planned scheduling instead of plot demands.
