bedlam boundary - 24.26

Chapter slinks and sneaks beneath the moonlit forest canopy, hunting by the smell of blood and fear.

Epub of the chapter is also attached down below!

And here our Heather is, at long last, deep in the belly of the whale. But the Governor - and the Eye - are perhaps more than mere observation. Time to find out! Time to figure out how far this one can see by words alone.

Ahem! Well well well! Not much else to say before the chapter itself, of course, other than that, hmmm, at current projections, I do think we are indeed going to be exceeding my 30-chapter estimate, but maaaybe by not too much? We'll see! Hope you all enjoy this one!

Meanwhile, I have a little treat for you all this week! Or at least those of you who do not frequent the discord server (those of you who do, you've probably already seen this). I've been given express permission to share this incredible pixel art rendition of Heather and the Governor, at the moment of their mathematical confrontation, by the incredibly talented and ever-generous skaianDestiny (who has also made a lot of other pixel art of the story, including a lot of the emotes on the server!) And here is a special extra version, with a certain Praem-shaped addition cradled in Heather's arms!

Thank you for letting me know that the comments weren't showing! I had to go manually approve them; I think wordpress has adjusted the spam filter and it's catching ordinary comments. But I've replied to your one now! And thank you again, so very much. That's very kind of you to say! I'm delighted this moment landed so well, I poured so much into it, and I'm very glad you enjoyed it!

Not sure my comments on the chapter itself are showing, today. This was an excellent chapter!! Among your best!!

And it's the first time she's ever done it, too! The first thoughts put to paper, the first line of her own independent voice. Now that's the anxiety of the blank page, cranked up to x1000. Painful indeed! And, hey, I just saw that you recommended me on Patreon! That's incredibly kind of you, thank you so much! I'm not quite sure how that feature works yet, I should try it out myself too.

Ah, poor Eileen is suffering from writer's block. I definitely understand the difficulties of just staring at a blank page and trying to figure out what the hell to write down. How to start that first paragraph and how it will flow into the next ten thousand or so words... Pain. Pain of the Brain!
