One of those rare moments all things come together in a single Portrait.
You look at 1/60 seconds shot in my old Gymhal Studio with my first Large Format Camera the Cambo SC-1 with only one lens. I regret selling this camera.

In the next couple of weeks I will show you some of what I consider to be the best works out of my project 'Homo Anonymous'.
This is my project grown out of anxiety, having the feeling not to be looked at with the same eyes I look into the world. About being visible when you feel unseen. This project still feels unfinished to me. I will review my possibilities in the next year.

Along the way during this project 'Pure Portrait 500' I have used several camera's to find my images. The Olympus Trip 35 keeps surprising me. It is so different from anything I have made before. Much more intuitive. Less perfect in sharpness and light. I really love this camera and it's results.

This time of year is a time of reflection.
Due to both Covid and my anxiety issues I haven't made as much personal work as I wanted at the beginning of this year.
I don't see this as a failure just a reminder and an invitation to myself to make more personal work in 2022.
This will help me to transfer my thoughts and feelings into Art, and I need that connection that human interaction.

Wandering through my archives looking for the best portraits out of my project 'Pure Portrait 500' I have managed to make a selection of only 856 (!) that can be made into a Limited Edition Photograph in my darkroom. Obviously this is way to many. So next step will be to make the next selection into only 75 Photographs maximum a 100. I do like to give myself some space to make new portraits along the way.
