Elpida sleep. (Sl)eepy sleppy Commander. Do nanomachine zombies dream of undead sheep?

Either this or the next chapter will probably be the final chapter of arc 8. At the time of writing this note I'm not 100% sure which it will be, but I'm about to find out, when the words hit the page. (And now, having finished, it'll be the next chapter! Huurah!)

And, with this chapter, Necroepilogos is now one year old! One year of this! Aaaaaaa I can't believe it.

Honestly, when I started writing this, I had no idea if the story would even make it out of like arcs 1 and 2. I had no idea if my audience and patrons would enjoy this, or if I had the chops to write this kind of crunchy, action focused, sci-fi horror. But after one year and fifty four chapters, this is going better than I ever imagined, even better than I thought it might. I dearly hope you're enjoying this tale of heavily armed cannibal zombie girls and ancient thinking machines and necromancer mysteries as much as I am, dear readers. I could not do this without you and the support you've all given; I cannot emphasize that enough. Thank you!

There is just so much more story to tell, as long as you want it. We've barely scratched the surface of this setting. I have reams and reams of outline, so many more characters, a whole meta-arc of ... well, a lot! We'll have to keep following Elpida for now, her new cadre and her new ally, the best boy of the wastes, Pheiri, and see what happens next. Onward we go, back to the black rot and the dark skies and the taste of ash. We're very pleased to have you here.
