Not much else to say this chapter! I'm still having an absolute blast writing Necroepilogos, and I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. We're safe behind Pheiri's armour for now, and there's so much to learn, but girls are going to get hungry sooner or later. This chapter ended up getting gigantic, 6.6k words, but I couldn't get it to end earlier without inserting a weird cliffhanger, so, here it is! This arc might go on quite a bit longer, at least another 2-3 chapters, maybe even more. I'm not 100% sure yet. We'll see!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad that aspect of the story actually works as well as it does, I'm always a bit wary about the hero-worship of a central protagonist like this; done wrong it can come off as very cheesy or sort of wish-fulfillment, but I feel like I've gotten the balance and reasons correct with Elpida. It's just ... the way she is, the aura she gives off, and the sum of her actions so far. And she has a different effect on different people. Ooni is very vulnerable to it. And thanks, glad you enjoyed the chapter! I hope you enjoy rereading, if you decide to!

She deserves the praises and some for literally dragging a unfit unit through muck, cannibalism, and madness. I don't care for it much in other stories, but when Ooni described Elpida in all of her glory, I felt that. Great chapter as always. I think I'm at the stage where I might do a reread.

2023-09-28 23:11:18 +0000 UTCAmina actually surprised me here; I think her experiences helping to free Elpida have really changed her, helped her grow. As for Elpida, gosh, yes, there's a lot of quasi-religious things happening here below the surface, to do with flesh and purification.

2023-09-28 18:35:08 +0000 UTCAmina growing some confidence and starting to let her true self show a bit more. Also, Elpida is definitely leaning into the Goddess or angel role, even if she doesn't really notice it. Eating the tainted flesh and purifying it withing her herself, and willingly sharing her blood. If she's not careful she is going to have a cult of worshippers to deal with in the future.
