And yet more stress for poor Jan; she's really had enough for one day, hasn't she? I suspect Heather won't let Heart go too far, she can't be getting distracted now. And she still needs to ask Jan some important questions. Onward with the arc! Onward to Heather's others tasks, circling closer to insight about the Eye. And here's a link!

Oh yeah, absolutely. There's an inherently comedic element in this chapter here, between Heart and Jan, but at the same time it's quite serious, not least for Jan getting attention she doesn't want, and Heart feeling rejected. Then again, she only just meet Jan, so hopefully Heather is correct and it's just mistaken lust. Heart needs to go try out another role, something different.

2023-08-05 19:17:19 +0000 UTCJeez, love does some crazy stuff to the Yellow family. Can't even put on a proper performance. Hope that Heart will be OK, one sided love is never fun go through. I've had the misfortune of experiencing it on both sides. Being loved, but unable to reciprocate, and loving someone but having it go unnoticed or denied. It's never fun and just makes things hard for both people involved.
