I don’t like to take up anybody’s valuable time and attention here with anything other than posting fresh chapters for you to read, but after the Patreon hit a milestone, I feel compelled to express my appreciation and gratitude. I’ll try to keep it short!

To every one of you patrons who supports Katalepsis, I cannot thank you enough. It is you who make this possible. As of this weekend, the Patreon has hit $500 a month, which is an absolutely staggering amount of money to me. I never expected my goofy story about lesbians and cosmic horror to get this far or get this much attention and support, or to provide regular enjoyment to such a large audience, or to mean so much to so many readers who have left comments or contacted me about the story and themes.

$500 is a lot of money, and though I’ve said this before in the discord server or to other readers, I want to re-iterate here: this makes a very serious material difference to my ability to continue writing this story at the pace I do, every month. The more Katalepsis makes, the more time I can afford to put into the story, rather than into other responsibilities which keep my rent paid and my coffee machine topped up. I cannot thank you all enough for this support and what it means to be able to write stories for you.

As the goal said, this increasing support has meant I’ve been able to put increasingly more time and care and attention into each chapter, which is hopefully paying off too! I promise to continue doing my absolute best to bring this story all the way to the conclusion of book 1 - and then beyond!

As for the other subject mentioned in the milestone, well! I guess it’s time to begin seriously planning and outlining and working on some side-chapters or bonus material. I’m not going to make any concrete promises about this yet, as I don’t want to risk taking any writing time away from the main story chapters until I’m absolutely certain I can manage that, and I have no idea how long it might take, or if readers would simply prefer a full speed ahead instead!
