Plenty I'd like to redraw and keep re-working, but I'm trying to keep pace, and sometimes it's best to just call it good and move on! I really struggle a bit with Owen's thicker body. Getting it to look right, with the Zootopia-animaltistic-long-torso, always just makes him look a bit too elongated, or limb disproportionate. I spend a lot of time just rescaling head and arm's to make things feel right day-to-day.
I was pretty happy with some of these faces tho - I think it's playful and fun!
I just keep thinking up more and more fun panels and illustrations; I can't wait to get past these next few pages so I can dive into some hot action.
Also, what's better? Judy replying with:
'And you.... look half n*ked.'
Or
'And you... are already n*ked.'
The second one isn't quite true, but it punches better as a line said out loud? LMK your thoughts! (* - I had to censor that word for Patron 0_o what the heck...)

Hope you are all having a good start to the new year. I've caught a second (but way easier) cold, right off the back of the previous one, that I'm starting to suspect was the flu. This cold ain't slowing me down, just frustrating to be sneezing n full of gunk yet again. Seems like everyone I'm around is fighting something this season.

If Owen knew that Judy & Nick were on the way over and that they were the ones at the door, I could see him maybe answering in undies as a kind of cut-to-the-chase power move? But if walking around in just undies is not Owen’s style, then it’s cool - half naked is still hot! 🔥

Maybe it makes a little more sense if Owen is just wearing underwear when he opens the door, instead of pants? Just a suggestion, but I would keep the line either way!

The kinda subtle things that he might not even be aware he's doing as he subconsciously moves into a more submissive role in the relationship. Really great stuff!

I find it's also easier to hide behind jeans as an artist - as there are more lines to put into play. It's like... the more detail the more I can screw up and it's hidden in the detail.

2025-01-12 20:29:10 +0000 UTCBack in the day I would have said no way, but there are a lot of genuine furries in these companies now, and I've seen some crazy things in public leaks from other animation studios, so I wouldn't say an easter egg is impossible, just highly unlikely. And hey, even back in the day far crazier things were slipped in last minute as jokes, like that uh...addition to The Rescuers. The biggest thing against it is probably just that the core animation for the film was probably wrapped a long time ago at this point.
