Linework Question for the next chapter
Added 2024-02-09 19:24:08 +0000 UTCMy Higher Tier Hero's! I've got a question for you on the STYLE of linework you'd want for the next upcoming chapter.
What do you prefer?
On the left - solid INKS.
On the right - cleaned up pencils.
Just a question on the line-work, not the colors and such!
Ink's takes longer, but they help the characters POP justtttt a bit more over the penciled backgrounds that I'm so fond of. Cleaned-up pencils are a bit gritter, but they feel closer to Zoop-concept-art look that's pretty appealing.

Hmmmmmmm. I wonder if there is a happy inbetween?! Like a penciled line that has a darker less noise core to it? And heck thank you for thinking it over and giving me such a thougthfull vote =D I honestly love both of the looks.

2024-02-11 22:06:21 +0000 UTCWhat did you pick in the end? I think the only major downside to the inks is the time commitment of having to re-render. But maybe I can learn to go LESS hard on the pencils and push the time-load onto the inks? I do feel like I've improved since the 1st page of the QnA

2024-02-11 22:04:37 +0000 UTC…gods, this was a hard one. I’ve changed my vote like four times but pencils. Final answer. I love the “roughness” of the lighter lines. It feels so intimate. The clean lines are so crisp but especially with this last Q&A, I just adore the sketchy style. Obviously I’m gonna go feral over either one, but if it doesn’t make the big cut, imma beg for it to come back for future q&a’s 🫣🫣
