I'm sharing all the crazy work I put into that second panel and gosh, if I'm just sharing too much madness. I had it in my head that I wanted to show Nick's face and mouth doing something outrageous - while the opposing panel would show Owen and Judy's mouths. Really have the contrast between both scenes and using Owens' ass as almost a barrier between them. Simple enough right? But then I also had this doozy of a sketch from a few pages ago, and I've been dying to get it into the comic!
It's just... so hot to me! And gosh do I want to get this angel to work, but dang, is it tough to get the KISS and this gratuitous mating press all into one camera angle =/. Even now, I'm still not completely happy with Owens' shoulders and body twists. But I feel ready to move on - I just don't have the patience to redraw it again. I figure it'll resolve itself in the inks OR it'll just look weird, and hopefully nobody will notice because the kiss and lewdness will pull all the attention ;D
Another few minor frustrations? When I was sketching out the Nick's ass-eating balls-on-his-snoot moment, I originally had him thumbing Owen's ass. I was really into it until I realized he was supposed to be jerking off with that hand. Broke my heart a little. Finally, I also used a reference image from my 'visually interesting ideas' folder - just cool poses and scenes and ideas- and while I don't trace or anything like that - the pencils for this panel, ended up looking too similar to the inspiration material. So I might have to figure out a way to change it up a bit if the inks don't seem unique enough. I feel like ball goggles are a pretty common idea, and there just aren't really any other angles I can explore to show this 'licking up the press' moment that I wanted to show?! But also, I don't want to be pinching other people's work, sigh. All frustrations that I'll figure out as I go.

I'll be super excited to wake Judy up next page too - I feel like I've got license to be a little creative as she sort of dreams-awake. I sort of picture her dreaming about being in a BIG maw - beastars style, before waking and realizing it's OWEN and he's just nibbling and kissing her ;D I might just save the whole 'finger in butt' for another scene: having Owen order Nick to do that to him could be a whole thing =D

2023-03-23 23:15:18 +0000 UTCWhen you’re so bored with drawing the same poses you nail a camera to the ceiling for variety. But for real that overhead frame is super ambitious. Going all in on it and I love it. I always dig seeing your process in the sketch pages, all the little thoughts creeping into the page. Also, that side by shot of Nick going in and Owen kissing Judy is so good. Showcasing the pack hierarchy but not alienating Nick entirely. Owen gets Judy and Nick gets BOTH. If you wanted to get that thumb in, you could show a small transitional panel of Nick taking his hand away, moving up Owens leg and then showing the thumb in. It does stretch the formate of the page but it’s easily doable in concept. Plus, the idea of Nick giving up his jerking JUST to give Owen and Judy more attention is a textbook cuck move. Maybe next page. Looking good, Amadose. Make some changes if you feel it’s too close to the references but you’ve got plenty of premium thoughts on the page.
