I knot it's still three pages of tease, but, I think it makes the payoff land so much more strongly.
I was a little worried about doing three 3/4 views all very similar to each other (and I might yet change one of them?), but it's relevant to what's being talked about so I sort of feel like it works?
Flipping Judy onto her back wasn't a part of the OG-script, but I was starting to get tired of drawing all three of our characters just sitting next to one another. If I'm getting tired of it, then I know you guys are too. flipping Judy around, getting dynamic? I'm excited all over again. Plus you all know how much I love a new-way-to-display ca gooey-closeup.
An added benefit now is that I get to draw a wider physical disconnect between Judy-Owen and Nick. Really emphasize some 'distance' =D Then, also, a friend also pointed out that Owen's turning his back to Nick, and covering Judy; sort of feels like a double down of 'assertive dominance' <-- all in all I'm feeling super pleased with all of this =D

I'm really touched you enjoy seeing the process! I love seeing other artists and how they do their work too - it's harder for me to look at my own work with the same kind of eye though! All I see are things I want to change or get better at ;D
