Ties That Bind - Page 10 WIP (Inks & Flats)
Added 2022-05-30 17:35:30 +0000 UTCManaged to finish off the inks and flats this weekend, and as we're coming up to the end of the month I wanted to get any of you who might only be here for the month, an update!
I went ahead and attached the 'donut' edition; I'd originally drawn this page with Judy having like... a big puffy butt-hole. I really like the idea that she has a nice and show-offy button back there, but after I'd drawn it up (using some of my previous artwork as a reference, and some Reddit boards all about butts) I realize it was maybe a bit too pronounced. Almost like a bee sting. I reduced it down a bit and feel pretty happy with it!
For any of you eagle-eyed folk; you might notice too that a whole lot of the page has been redrawn as compared with the pencils; I'd worked super hard on them and things kept nagging at me; Owens's face didn't feel 'right' (the upper tiers helped me dial it in!), Judy's face(in the trio shot) wasn't very dynamic, and just felt like a repeat of a previous panel. And the sheath on the close-up felt hidden behind some balls; as if I was copping out of drawing it. Talking about sheaths; I struggled a bit with this one! I don't particularly want to nail an IRL animal look. I want it to feel a bit more fantastical and abstract. So I really lean into looking at how other artists are depicting sheaths, and try to emulate something fantastical and meaty and squashy. And I hope it's looking good? I feel like with some action lines; that Squish (even it'll be cropped down for the page) will look pretty fun.

Really want to get that SQUISH feeling - the more I can make the two images feel contrasted the bigger the movement feels. And with the text on top of it; it'll really feel impactful... I hope ;D I know not everyone is into the piercings; but I do think the sheath one gives us some contextual geometry, that let's us know just how big his cock might be inside of her.

Such a minor detail to have the ring turn as it’s being pressed on but I see it and appreciate the added attention to detail. I’m indifferent to the bunny butt’s depiction. Puff, no puff, it’s a darn cute little hole and you know Owen has his claws dug in deep. Make it as you will, I’ll be eyeballing it as vigorously as always.
