Story time!

My friend James has been trying to orchestrate a shibari shoot for me for the past two months. The artist he had in mind is constantly traveling the world for his craft, so it's taken some time for him to finally come back to Japan. We set a date for Sunday with this artist and another photographer. We thought we were going to have to cancel on Saturday, but then later that day Yagami-san messaged us confirming his plans. The photographer had already scheduled a different shoot in case of cancellation, but the shibari artist had a camera he could use instead.

I had planned on the shoot falling through. I had gotten a hotel room in Shinjuku and decided to go to a concert instead. When I found out the shoot was still on, I had already gotten on a train with zero makeup or a straightener in my bag. I hadn't shaved my lady bits. I felt disgusting and was super bloated from coming off my period (I look pregnant right now I swear), but I decided to say fuck it and go. Once in a lifetime experience, right?

Needless to say, I was TERRIFIED of this man. He has a very intimidating aura at times. But we talked for at least an hour before we shot. He was really respectful of my boundaries and constantly checked to make sure I was fine. I had so much fun!

I'll be sharing pictures from this shoot every now and then. I'm trying to space them out some, so stay tuned. I got about 100 or so. Special shout out to my friend James for networking and coordinating nearly everything. It wouldn't have been possible without him and I'm extremely grateful🖤
