It depicts exactly how the pop music industry sees its artists: as interchangeable, unpaid, vaguely necessary interns, who don't deserve even basic recognition, let alone any sort of promotion for their work or compensation for their time. Also, it's a lot of fun to watch, and Tituss Burgess is hilarious.
