Escape - SFW

It's defo one of those ones where I just don't even know what to say about it because I've been staring at it for so long. Just wanted to paint a dragon haha. I don't get the chance to make work like this very often, so I'm really happy when I get to. I kind of wish I was somewhere like this, cold and wet and rocky. Maybe some gannets too haha. It's started to get hot where I am already, the heat just makes me want to hunker down and be inactive. But regardless, at least I can escape by painting scenes I would like to be in. Thanks for hanging out here.

2022-02-10 00:47:04 +0000 UTCtbh I just didn't want to overcomplicate the water beneath them, I felt like it wasn't the point so I left it pretty neutral. Some tiny after ripples coulda been a nice touch though!

2022-02-09 22:03:40 +0000 UTCThe dragon is pretty sick looking. A mix of organic and artificial gold filigree. Reminds me of mtg's kaladesh setting. The area around it reminds me of the cold beaches in my hometown too. All around 9/10. All it's missing is the water displacement beneath the dragon.
