2025-11-15 16:53:15 +0000 UTCAlso, in the scene where Lakan was describing the courtesan that he fell for, an image of Maomao flashed into Jinshi’s mind because it sounded very similar to Maomao- which makes sense since we now know that was her biological mother- the courtesan was even shown having Maomao’s greenish hair- but Maomao has Lakan’s blue eyes

2025-11-15 11:17:16 +0000 UTCI thought it was sweet in a way when Jinshi made her throw up the seaweed lol- the last person to eat it fell into a coma after all, Maomao has built up some poison tolerance, but she’s not immune from everything- and I thought it was hilarious how the chibi animation when she went for it a second time showed him practically holding her up like she was an actual cat, like “spit it out already” lol
