2024-04-22 23:10:33 +0000 UTCWhat you found out perfectly matches my assumptions. They had the budget to get some good people for the main 3 and then scraped the discount bin for the rest. And, to be fair, I'm holding a high standard here. The "bad" voiceover is still 6 out of 10 so its not garbage, it's just not up to the standard I except for anime.

2024-04-22 19:05:12 +0000 UTCI watched this subbed when i watched it myself, so I didn't know the voice acting was this bad. I looked at the cast just now and most of them only have credits for kids shows. The ones playing the main characters have some big roles, i think their VA is better here too. There is a stereotype that dub VA is worse than subs, i don't think that's always the case (dubs used to be a lot worse than they typically are now) but it definitely seems to be true here, I would've recommended the subs if i knew.
