Kaguya-sama: Love is War Movie Part 1

Fortunately, I'd only reacted to the first half of the movie so I'll do the second half with the English version. Also, as bonus content, I'll react to my favorite scenes of the first half in English because there are a few scenes I want to hear the English version of, such as when she's in Li'l Kaga mode. LMFAO

I think the small forms of the characters are called chibi- and the opening has the reference to the ramen kings- we met the first one in that vignette where Chika went to the ramen shop and the guy was studying/judging/admiring how she ate her ramen- and 2 of them showed up to the school culture festival where Kaguya served them tea (after they complained about the way she served coffee). The show might also be sponsored in some way, but I’m not sure lol

2023-10-19 23:15:52 +0000 UTCThe movie is just 4 episodes (complete with opening and ending theme song) they packaged as a”movie” because I guess it’s too short to call a full season lol- so you shouldn’t be missing anything. I’m not sure if more seasons are in the works, but from what I’ve heard, the manga goes beyond where this ends (and might still be ongoing and not done yet)- at first glance, you would think that the “end game” of the show has been realized (or very close) with Kaguya and Miyuki actually getting together, but I suppose it would be interesting to watch them work through being in a relationship, and maybe following the others and seeing how things work out for Ishigami and Iino as well (and maybe I care about Maki- the miss steal yo man girl related to Kaguya, but it doesn’t feel like her friend and crush are splitting up anytime soon lol). What I wanted to say a number of episodes back is that I ship Ishigami and Iino as well and think they’ll eventually happen- but I thought saying it might spoil that they are still not together yet (though it might be obvious that that would still be a while since he’s so focused on his current crush and it will be a while before she has to give her “answer” to him)
