I'm up to episode 8 and I can definitely see how this series has legs. They're telling this boys whole life story. PS. ASSeladd is on my Arya list.

2022-12-31 00:20:38 +0000 UTCI knew a lot about vikings going in (too tied to UK history not to) so it'll be interesting to see this from the POV of someone who didn't. It isn't a limited series though, it's just that season 2 isn't out yet, though it is coming soon (on 9th Jan). Like Attack on Titan, there was a big delay between S1 and S2.

2022-12-29 15:24:48 +0000 UTCWith the exception of that first scene (which was actually Thors kind of daydreaming I think, Helga was holding baby Ylva as they were waving to each other in the field before he was brought back to reality), they’re good about spelling out where in time they are, and they don’t really jump back and forth, only back in flashbacks that they spell out are flashbacks. Man, I love these first few episodes, Thors is such a great character, and I think they perfectly portray what kind of man he is (caring more to set that slave free before he died than about his own wealth/resources), and the words he says to Thorfinn about no one having enemies and deserving to be hurt just give me chills every time. Great reaction
