Road map: The journey begins!

 I figure it's best to start off this new venture by letting you all know what my plans are. 

What has gone before?
If you're discovering me for the first time, you may not be aware that I already have a fairly extensive catalog of paper minis and scenery for sale through my shop, Papercraft Dungeon, and through DriveThruRPG. The Champions Series is a new product line, related to what has already been released, but separate from it. The existing sets will continue to be available from those online stores, and I'll continue to add to that catalog with new sets unrelated to the Champions Series.

Where are we heading?
The Champions Series revolves around individual characters. I envision this collection as a great resource for folks to grab a mini to represent their player characters in their games and will eventually have a vast library of Champions that covers all the most common character class/race combinations and quite a few of the less common ones too.

The first Champion will be a Human Female Fighter, as pictured above. The plan is to alternate between male and female Champions each month, and to avoid repeating the same race or character class for two months in a row, in order to quickly build up a great variety of characters. As mentioned in the prologue, we already have a large collection of existing minis and many race/class combinations are covered there already, albeit without the Champion treatment yet. Initially we intend to give priority to the most common class/race/gender combinations that we haven't already covered in our previous releases, but as the collection starts taking shape, we'll revisit some of the character archetypes already released and add them to the Champions Series. We'll also slot in some of the less common, but still interesting, character combinations when we get a chance to!

We've set our first goal at the $250 mark. Once that goal is reached, all future Champion PDFs will also include a "Worldbuilding Item". This will be either an NPC, a familiar, an animal companion or some sort of prop, and there will be a new one each month! We figure that this is a cool way to to add even more value to the series as a whole, and also to give you something of interest even in the months when the Champion is not really something you have much use for, so we'll do our best to make it something that's useful and/or exciting!

What does the immediate future hold?
The Human Female Fighter is Champion for May 2019, and is scheduled for release on May the 1st. We'll likely release her slightly early just to get the ball rolling on this new Patreon page. If so, this will be done in increments, starting with the lowest tier and working our way up.

June's champion will be an Elven Mage, male, scheduled for release on the 1st of that month. Haven't yet decided on July's Champion yet, but I'm leaning towards a female Tiefling Bard.
