This is a really good observation. I hadn't really thought about it on a conscious level but you're right about his connection to the audience.

I think the connection Elliot has to the audience is amazing. Is there any character in Movie/TV history that has a better one? Love your commentary as always, don't get too drunk!! :D

They could be infuriating coz sometimes you would be in a situation where only one specific command combo in one specific place would advance the story. Even though there are a limited number of commands you multiply all the possibilities and there are a lot of combos to choose from. There was no hand holding in these games so you had to guess maybe based on some obscure ass clue or something
