what im working on next!!!

im gonna make a miniseries!!! or at least, i plan to try! i'm unsure of the exact length in minutes but it'd overall be pretty short, probably being under 10 minutes with all the episode lengths combined.

there's gonna be 3 episodes, the first probably being around 2 minutes? the second episode being over 2 minutes (guaranteed because one of the background tracks i plan to use in full is 2 minutes long), and the third episode being completely unknown because it's mostly unplanned at the moment. all of these episodes will be released at the time of finishing them!

this will be an interesting experiment in animation! i plan to animate in the standard of 24fps but with most of the animation being 12fps, so overall a lower framerate than what i usually use (18fps), but with the tradeoff of being able to animate faster and have more detail! this by no means translates to the animation being worse, i think i might actually be able to do more solid animation this way with more focus on the keyframes O_O also note that animating mostly at 12fps is generally the industry standard for any kind of lengthy animation, such as cartoons, anime, movies, etc! the gif above is a bit of an animation test for it, albeit not the highest quality since i just made it very suddenly late at night 

i don't want to reveal much about the premise of the miniseries itself, but Episode 2 of it was an idea i've had for pretty much a year now that i was never able to contextualize, but i finally had a seperate idea that fits perfectly as an Episode 1, and if i'm really not feeling up to the task of dedicating myself to a miniseries, i can just leave it at Episode 1 for now since i feel it'd be interesting enough to stand on its own as a "wow that was something". Episode 1 will be a pretty significant tonal departure from anything else ive made, especially in contrast with spring cleaning, and even the episodes planned after it, so it'll be something pretty different!

Episode 1 will be the setup, Episode 2 will be mostly kinda cartoony action, and Episode 3 is a bit of an unknown but i do have the ending planned!

this project could very well last me the rest of the year if not a bit longer, so we'll see how it turns out! for the first episode i'm just gonna throw out an estimation of 2-3 months. i don't think my work would take a shift into only original animation like this after the miniseries is done, i still want to make animation-dense music videos, but making this miniseries would really open up the door to other cool original stuff!!
