sunday update!!!! whats cookin!!

the last week was spent planning, pretty much! though in that i ultimately decided to put the original animation off for a bit in favor of something shorter for now, that being an animation of Jack Stauber's "Spring Cleaning", which is something i've wanted to animate for a while! and animation will be starting this week!!

the images seen above is just a handful of the concept art i had for the original short. i ended up scrapping the idea because for now, i found it much easier and more interesting to do the 'weirder animation' through a little music video. i still do want to do original animation! and specifically a shorter one as a stepping stone for something id want to do in the future..

there's a big project i want to do in the future where what i'd be making up until then would be working up to! to be specific, it'd be an original animation that'd be much longer than my normal animations, estimating the duration to be 5+ minutes! the animation itself would be mostly 12fps (with bursts of 24fps) instead of my usual 18fps to compensate. i have a lot planned for the concept, but ultimately i would like to release some shorter original animated work before it as practice!

for more detail on what i'm working on now, it's a full animation of this song ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEjsIS-PpYg ) by Jack Stauber! i still estimate a release date within March or April, as i want to cram as many interesting visuals into it as i can, which includes putting some more time into the backgrounds! that's the only real regret i have with "stupid horse" where i ended up rushing the backgrounds because of the deadline..

speaking of which, i was actually contacted by the manager of 100 gecs!! O_O and some of the effects of that should be clear soon!

oh yeah! and i plan to continually design merch throughout production of this animation and potentially animations afterwards! i should mention that the merch release wouldn't be anything major (right now i'm just looking into redbubble), but i do want to create unique designs specific to the merch!
