new stop motion setup + sample gif!
Added 2020-05-24 22:52:37 +0000 UTCive always wanted to try out stop motion, and i thought now would be as good a time as any to try it out!
whether or not id actually be using this for a full animation is yet to be determined.... but i might use it for a shot or two in the animation for June!
pictured is my closet, which i cleared room out to barely squeeze 1 desk in next to my dresser, as well as put a stool for me to sit on while i work! unfortunately the playstation eye camera haphazardly rubberbanded to the hanger pole didnt get to see any use, since i found out that you can use apps to turn any smart device into a webcam
the gif made here was made out of the pieces you see in the third picture, with the ears glued on the back of the head and the floating hearts shot seperately, all chroma keyed and assembled with editing software!
the "stand" for the camera is just 2 random boxes from my shelf stacked haphazardly using a Super Nintendo as the weight to prevent the top box from tipping over when i hang the camera off the edge of it.. super nintendos are a lot heavier than youd imagine
