The excitement and enthusiasm around the Infinite Backlog 2.0 beta has been incredible! It’s been amazing to hear from many of you about how much you’re looking forward to trying it out. Your excitement fuels us as we work hard to get everything ready for the beta launch on January 1st. Don’t know what we’re talking about? Check out our previous 2.0 announcement post!
We know some of you have mentioned that the wait feels long when you’re so eager to dive in—and trust us, we can’t wait for you to experience it either! While we can’t make the beta available sooner, we wanted to do the next best thing: give you a special sneak peek at one of the most anticipated features coming in 2.0: Bulk edit!
Bulk edit has been at the top of our feature request list for years. While we always wanted to implement it, the limitations of the original 1.x codebase made it nearly impossible. But with 2.0’s codebase rebuilt from scratch, we’ve been able to redesign our most complex collection logic, making this long-awaited feature finally within reach.

So, what makes bulk edit so exciting? Picture this: You’ve just bought a bundle of games from Humble, and the IB importer has added all your newly acquired Steam games to your collection. However, the imported information is basic, and you’d like to add more details—like acquisition method, source, and date. Instead of updating each game one-by-one, bulk edit lets you update up to 30 games at once in just a few clicks. It’s fast, efficient, and a total game-changer for managing your collection!
When the beta launches, bulk edit will support the most commonly used fields. We plan to expand its functionality over time, adding more editable fields and exploring ways to increase the number of games you can edit at a time without compromising the stability or performance of the site. This power feature will remain exclusive to Legend and Myth supporters after the beta concludes, as part of our commitment to making these tiers truly rewarding for those who help us build Infinite Backlog’s future.
As we continue to prepare for the beta launch, we’re also getting ready to share the news with the rest of the Infinite Backlog community. Keep an eye out for the big beta announcement going live on December 23rd!
In the meantime, we’re planning another small update next month to showcase some of the exciting enhancements 2.0 will bring to existing features. Thank you for your continued support—we couldn’t do this without you!
Happy gaming,
Adilya & Yishiru
