2024-05-11 06:40:37 +0000 UTCAs I’m unable to chill on my Seras jones, I’ve been rereading GitC from the beginning. I think Motoko needs a vapor/vacuum deposition box. Coating the inner parts of her guns with DLC for smother action. Having to use a jackhammer to pump a round into a shotgun or a smooth slide? At let’s face it, most of those guns are butt ugly. Dark blades that shed blood. A nice near-black universal cover would be neomil cool. Don’t forget her arms. Morgan Blackhand meet Moto Blackarm. When she wears through the DLC, it will because of bad-as scars, not road rash. Laser assist would allow patterns [or green flames for Hiromi.] Lidar/microwave/radar absorbing coatings for added stealth. She can’t coat her entire car, but those Tachikoma are going to need to be tough and hard to see. Can’t say I’ve seen anything like it in the lore. She does have that enduring build perk. It’s not my story, but I can add a few paragraphs for my own amusement. My personal soundtrack too.

2024-05-10 19:55:03 +0000 UTCWell, if it makes you feel any better, when you take a break from writing, the subsequent Motoko withdrawal inspires me to work on my own novel, Cyberpunk: Noir, which is doing oddly well on Royal Road at the moment...I also platinum trophied Cyberpunk: 2077 on my PS5. So even not writing can apparently be inspiring lol.

I had a 22 hour day on Monday, and spent all day yesterday recovering. XD. Been writing this morning, but it's fighting me a bit too. But it's okay. I'll be back in the groove again until the next time I have to run to do IRL obligation stuff.

This isn't a complaint, in fact the opposite. As Somebody who absolutely loves multiple POVs some future BD scenes from others during their gigs (showing Motoko as the leader etc) would be fucking badass. Whether that's a far in the future series from David's POV or just a member of the crew now

2024-05-07 00:14:37 +0000 UTCI've watched and taken note of author patterns of lots of serial fictions like this and if there's anything I can note it's that short 3-5 day breaks seem to really improve quality and consistency but long breaks like anything longer than 7 days do the opposite.
