Notice About December
Added 2025-11-29 07:27:44 +0000 UTCI don't want to run a poll in December. I'll still be doing an illustration but I'd like to just set the subject now rather than vote. The plan is to do something like the Halloween Party illustration and Reindeer Games. The reindeer were pretty popular last year and I'm keen on making that a seasonal tradition. Keen enough that I'd rather not risk the disappointment of having to devote that time to something else. I know that may be a disappointment to some people but I want this and I don't think I'd have the time to devote to doing it separate from the poll either. We'll be back to the regular vote in January.
This month was also pretty commission heavy, with not a whole lot in the way of personal sketching. I got way more interest in the sketch commissions than I thought I would and that's taken up the majority of my drawing time and I didn't have a lot of time for my regular sketching. That's likely going to continue into December since I'm only about half way through my queue at the moment.
There's also another project that I've been chipping away at for a while. I've started several comic projects in the past year but I usually end up overwhelming myself and burning myself out on them so I've been reluctant to talk about them a lot publicly to avoid committing to anything. Recently, though, I've been thinking it's time to take a different approach. It's time to just bite the bullet and throw myself into it rather than building it up so much in my head until I can't take the pressure and lose steam. I've been scaling back the scope of my latest idea and trying to change trying to change my mindset on how I want to approach to it to something looser to keep the pressure off myself. I'm hopefully going to have something ready to start posting next month. Fingers crossed.
Thanks to everyone for sticking with me for this whole art thing I've been doing. It's kind of crazy when I think about the amount of support I've been getting and I'm grateful to all of you for your generosity. I hope I can impress y'all with what's around the corner.

i really do miss the shaded sketches and speedpaints you used to offer for commissions, although the quality of your flat sketches is really improving too.
