(Announcement Please Read) Patreon change in subscription mode.

To meet Apple's needs, Patreon is mandating a change in subscription mode.

Members who subscribed and did not unsubscribe before November 4, 2024 are “Existing Members” and will also renew their subscriptions on the first of each month, with no impact.

Members who unsubscribe or join after November 4, 2024 will be classified as “New Members”.

“New members will be automatically renewed based on the date of their most recent subscription.

Assuming you subscribed on the 15th of the month, your account will not be automatically renewed until the 15th of the following month.

So if some of you are wondering why you clicked on auto-renew this month and nothing happened, it's because Patreon forced a change in the billing model.

Members can't set their own auto-renewal date, they can only subscribe on a specific date, so that the system recognizes your autopay date by default.

Let's say you want to be auto-renewal on the 1st of the month, but you miss it this month, then you can only subscribe on the 1st of the next month and don't cancel, so that you can auto-pay on the 1st of the following month.

I think this is a backwards idea, but I can't think of any other way.

The next problem is the slow update of the site due to their new charging mode.
Since it's now December 5 and I still have November members on my list, I have to waste a lot of time sending out rewards independently.
And because their website is not updated, Discord is not updated either.
To be fair and minimize the problem, the Discord rewards channel will be disabled until each month when Patreon's member list has finished updating, and then I'll put out rewards on that side.
I think some people would like to see the rewards on there, so that's what I've decided to do.
This is the best way I can think of at the moment and is acceptable to everyone.

The short answer is that Discord's rewards channel will still be updated, but it won't be synchronized with the date I send out my rewards.

I'm going to watch this month to see what day they finish updating and then decide if I want to change the day I send out rewards in the future.

I can't afford to waste my time every month with this horrible system.

接下來就是他們因為新的收費模式而導致網站更新緩慢的問題。
因為現在已經是 12 月 5 日了，但是我的會員名單上還有 11 月的會員，所以我必須浪費很多時間來獨立發送獎勵。
而且因為他們的網站沒有更新，Discord 也沒有更新。
為了公平和減少問題，Discord的獎勵頻道會停止使用，直到每一個月Patreon的會員名單完成更新為止，我才會在那邊放出獎勵。
我覺得有些人會喜歡在那邊看到獎勵，所以我這樣決定。
這是我目前想到比較好和大家都能接受的方式。

簡單說就是Discord的獎勵頻道仍然會更新，但不會和我寄出獎勵的日期同步。

我打算觀察這個月，看看他們哪一天完成更新，然後再決定我以後是否要改變發送獎勵的日子。

我不能每個月都浪費時間在這可怕的系統上面。

アップルのニーズに応えるため、パトロンは購読モードの変更を義務付けている。
2024年11月4日以前に購読し、退会しなかった会員は「既存会員」となり、毎月1日に購読を更新しますが、影響はありません。

2024年11月4日以降に退会または入会した会員は「新規会員」となります。
「新規会員」は、直近の購読日に基づいて自動更新されます。

仮に15日に加入したとすると、翌月の15日までアカウントは自動更新されません。
なぜ今月自動更新をクリックしたのに何も起きなかったのだろうと不思議に思われる方がいらっしゃると思いますが、パトロンが課金モデルの変更を余儀なくされたためです。

メンバーは自動更新日を自分で設定することができず、特定の日付にのみ登録することができます。
例えば、毎月1日に自動更新したいが、今月はそれを逃してしまったとします。その場合、翌月の1日にだけ購読し、キャンセルしないことで、翌月の1日に自動支払いができるようになります。

これは逆の発想だと思うが、他に方法が思いつかない。

次の問題は、新しいチャージモードによるサイトの更新の遅さだ。
現在12月5日だが、私のメンバーリストにはまだ11月のメンバーがいる。
ウェブサイトが更新されないため、Discordも更新されない。
