Ignoring her military training and survival instinct, Herring dove deeper to inspect the wreck. a fatal mistake. Without warning, a huge toothless mouth lunges at her and the blue sea is abruptly replaced by a red layer of flesh and saliva. Herring is being devoured by a huge predator, the same one that is causing panic in the waters surrounding the main base.
The creature, now perfectly adapted to her new type of prey, quickly and efficiently swallow new prey, belching up what she doesn't need on the ocean floor. The stomach, enlarged by her fruitful days of hunting, is barely bulging from her most recent catch and growls dissatisfied, demanding more food. While her stomach works on the first prey, the catfish goes out in search of a second prey that will momentarily appease her insatiable hunger*
