Bad news
Added 2024-11-07 18:32:32 +0000 UTCHey guys, terrible news today, unfortunately. My computer completely fried this morning when I tried installing a new SSD. I think I just completely overloaded it and shorted the power supply. It was smoking and burning and everything (you can see the scorch marks ๐ญ)
So... I'm trying to figure out what is and isn't usable right now and it's possible I'm gonna have to get a new PC. The power supply is completely done and so I can't even test if my graphics card is working or not since my old PC that I'm using to test the drives can't handle the 3090. So unfortunately I'm gonna have to take at least a week off unless some miracle happens...
Thanks for your support and your patience! Luckily with all your support I can afford to buy a new PC if that's what it comes down to.

Once the magic smoke is let out of electronics itโs quite hard to put it back. ๐

2024-11-12 01:14:14 +0000 UTCIt's not just the power supply unfortunately... :( The mobo is fried and the graphics card seems to work but is making weird noises that I do not trust. I ended up just buying a new computer, it's being assembled and I don't know when it'll be shipped as of now.
