Some recent comic page for you all.
Following the inks there, you'll see the old first draft of this page. It was way too busy - too many panels, feels like a bad Modern Hollywood conversation full of jumpcuts. Gross.
Next up is the revised rough sketch (in blue lines). Fewer words, fewer panels, which gave me more space to work with and give my eyes time to take in what's going on.

Just a little process/progress glimpse for you all. You can see the WAY OLD Procreate sketch I did of this page back in... Geez, 2017 I think, back when the story wasn't quite as smoothed out.
Had to edit the inks for this one since that handshake needed to appear elsewhere in the chapter to crank up the emotional impact of a specific scene.

Finished up the old Muji book and graduated to a higher quality Leuchtturm hardcover book that I feel MUCH nicer drawing in. Here's the first four pages, drawn while on a short trip out of town.

A little spoiler-safe glimpse at the quality jump you can expect in the first chapter of the book. First image was drawn in about 2018-19, second one was finished last month.
Not all pages had to be redrawn, but touchups were at least necessary to keep SOME consistency in the visuals (ie Wyit's snout or ears being too small/large, or story-critical items being too sketchy when clarity is required). The extra time spent improving them is resulting in a book I'm even more thrill...

Got the new scanner and it works GREAT. I can't believe how fast it is, so I went ahead and re-scanned my entire current sketchbook up to the most recent finished page and attached them in a zip file. These are all drawings you've seen already, just in way better quality now.
