Update 5/20/22: Dungeons, Enemies/NPCs, and [REDACTED]

Hello! Sorry, as ever, it's been a bit. Life really loves finding a way to get in the way, to paraphrase a certain chaos theory... guy from a certain dinosaur park-themed film.

Phase 2 continues to be built upon/fleshed out/tweaked. Currently, there are 6 semi-randomized 'dungeons' one can access to fight the Unfed, as well as GAIN or Cultists, as needed. They've.... been a bit of a headache, so I'm considering simplifying them, or replacing them entirely. An issue in Phase 2 currently (and with the game broadly as a whole) is its lack of structure. This is partly by design--the story/objectives are entirely what the player wants to experience-- but, I think the game could stand to be directed a little bit more.

To that end (and this is something I've touched upon before), I'm working on further dungeons for Phase 2: the office, the beach, and a mob... thing. Both the beach and the office will be mandatory for players alligned with the Cult or GAIN, as the other will be present and thus need to be taken out, while (like with the current Farm request) the Neutral/Expa route will make it optional. I've been working to make these a bit more involved than 'walk to the end' experiences, and have actually scrapped several attempts thus far.

The Mob dungeon/map will be accessible by recieving a request from the mob head (and Bella's cousin) Sofia. It'll be a simpler 'beat them all' challenge.

I've posted the office lady and mobster art previously, so you know a little what to expect for them, but I finally got around to doing some beach enemy art.

And because I'm neurotic about some things, I went and made some new npc sprites via the maker, and some skin gradient tweaks:

They're a bit more appropriate for their intended locations than my first attempts, that's for sure. Some of them even resemble certain enemies for *some reason*...

Finally, let's talk the final major character, [REDACTED]. This is, like a spoiler? I mean, not really, but I think it'd be a neat thing to discover, so this is my warning!

So, the final mainline party member is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the Fat Fairy herself! Her name changes based upon what you select for 'most hated thing' at the start, and she'll have less overall HP and Fullness because she's, well, a small fairy. See?

...

Well, she *starts* small. Like with Agent Skein, the Fairy gets a new sprite upon recruitment:

that she'll soon lose as she porks up. A function teased in the current build is 'feeding the fairy'; doing this will allow you to recruit her. You'll have to fatten her up first in Phase 1, then again in Phase 2, after which she'll use her magic (and extra mass) to give herself a body more scaled to human sizes.

She actually meant  to make herself *giant* but messed it up.

But speaking of giants... if you *don't* recruit her, she'll be powerful enough to use her fat magic a different way...

Hey don’t mean to bother but what’s the plan for the next update. From what I saw on the WG forum you were having some issues with stuff
