[NR] More On The Clover - Chapter 707

Jason pulls out some narrow tipped, rubber coated alligator clips. “This step isn’t necessary for many plants. However, since I don’t know the specifics of this one, I’ll go through all the steps.”

And he clamps each leaf at the leaf side. “The reason for this step is in case there are some further steps between the leaf and where the energy is stored. With the plant’s death, those steps might be missing and the unchanged leaf energy could mix with the changed energy.”

Jason shrugs, “That isn’t the most likely with a simple plant like clover. Though this is also a cultivated specimen, given the more centralized stalk and what not. Natural clover tends to grow along the ground, putting down roots and sending up leaves over a length of stem, or more properly, stolen.”

Courtney nods, “From the notes I received with the plant, it was found that cultivating it like this increases the energy density.”

Jason, “I won’t guess why or if this is a good thing. That would require actual testing during the growth of the plant. So let’s move on.”

The camera is refocused on the lone flower. Jason gently pushes the flower away to give a view of where the stem connects. “With clover, this is a bit harder, but when harvesting just the flower, you clip as close as possible. This is because some plants keep the energy density higher in flowers through pressure. Which, upon death or removal, goes away.

“Though if we look closely, you will notice there is a slight bulge where the stem connects. You would have to do testing to determine what function that played. In this case, though, I can see that it is acting like a one-way valve.

“The reason many plants don’t bother with this, is because when changing from flower to fruit, the energy becomes trapped. This is partly because the mystical sugars I mentioned are being incorporated into the fruit directly.

“Though also because that’s the purpose. Packing in nutrients for the seed. Oh, and fruits tend to be directly edible because they’re meant to be eaten. Once again, that’s the purpose and so for the same reason the fruit exists in the first place, so do the energies in said fruit.”

Rosha nods, “Makes sense.”

Jason points back at the flower. “Flower, on the other hand, will almost always need processing of some sort. After all, the plant doesn’t want you eating that before the seeds are ready. Seeds themselves are more of a mixed bag as they need to use the energy themselves.

“Now, notice how much stiffer the flower is than the rest of the plant? When I pushed it out of the way, they barely bent. In fact, if I wasn’t careful, they might have broken off. This is a sign of being aligned with a more solid based energy. For a basic flower, that likely means something earth or rock flavored.”

Jason moves back to the leaves. “Let’s give it a bend and see how it reacts.”

The leaf folds over easily enough and Jason nods. “Okay, I’m betting earth energy of some sort. Rock tends to cause stiffness all over, while earth can flow like mud, especially in plants and animals.

“Though of course, now that we’re back on the leaves, I might as well mention the slight brown color at the edges of the leaves. Easily ignored as an example of the plant already drying out. Except it is still as supple as the rest of the leaf.

“Without growth and life, the clover isn’t resisting the earth energy. Though it certainly didn’t help that it was in a dark box. No reason to remain green for photosynthesis.”

Courtney, “So why isn’t the flower brown? Even when dried, they stay white.”

Jason, “The leaves aren’t meant to store the energy long term. It is formed and either used or moved to the flowers. Which, since flowers are designed to hold the energy, do not change. Though honestly, after a certain energy density, plants end up with all kinds of weird colors no matter what you do.”

Courtney, “Fair enough, but all of this was stuff we could figure out. There was no reason to stream it to us or anything. What’s the catch?”

Jason smiles, “You aren’t wrong, anyone could figure this stuff out with trial and error. Probably has been figured out to some extent by the various scientists. But how can you use this information? What purpose can you put the energies towards?

“Oh sure, a fruit with a bunch of life aligned energy can be snacked on for healing. Yes, the higher tier fruits might even be best used directly when freshly plucked, some roots as well. But that isn’t what we’re here for, it was just giving the foundation.”

Jason picks up a scalpel. “I wonder what this is used for? Doesn’t matter since there’s a quality sterilizer, still a question though.”

The scalpel danced over the clover. Roots are piled to the side, stems straightened, leaves gathered, and the flower set down center stage.

Jason points, “The roots aren’t useless, but without a supporting organization the best use would be to dehydrate and then powder them. That will remove a lot of the energy, but enough will be left over that mixing it with the garden beds would help.

“Now, if the roots had been a dumping ground for unwanted energies, you’d want to use the powder on a plant that needs the waste materials. But since this clover is simply pushing over flow in? Perfectly fine to cycle it back around.

“Which leaves, heh, us with the rest of the parts. Oh, and the rest of this requires practice with energy manipulation and so cultivation or similar. Anyway, the stem is up first.

“Going by what we already found, they are not actively using or transforming the energy. This isn’t true for all stems. In this case, though, it is and so knowing the purpose we can build on that.

“A simple test of pushing energy out of your fingers and running them along one stalk in the direction of flow.”

Jason does so and a small drop of fluid forms at the end of the stalk. “You will have noticed I didn’t crush the stem or anything. I lightly ran my fingers along the length.

“If you were here, you would sense that much of the energy was now pushed out of this stalk. The drop can be added to the flower’s, while the extracted stems will work best as part of an intermediary step trying to remove earth energies. You simply have to mix it with a material that absorbs the unwanted energy to improve the effectiveness.”
