2025-10-12 03:39:43 +0000 UTCThis movie is the directoral debut for a major film for Yang Yu (Jiaozi). He previously directed a couple of shorts. He also directs the sequel to this movie. Evidently, most of the Chinese voice cast are not people who are well-known but a few of the English cast seemed to be involved with other well-known animated properties. But Iβm not familiar with any of them. It seems most of but not all the voice actors are returning for the sequel?

2025-10-10 17:09:01 +0000 UTCI see the streaming retailers have both an English-language version of the movie and the original Chinese version. AppleTV+, for example, has the English-language version as the primary, with the original Chinese-language version as an iTunes extra. It would be interesting to see if the spoken English translation corresponds closely, or not, with the original Chinese. EDIT: I just purchased the AppleTV+ version
