2024-09-30 20:10:26 +0000 UTCSighhh the feelings you have about overactive thoughts about distance from family and not being present in the lives of the people you love haunts me DEEPLY! Not at all advice, just my own experience, i’ve given into it, No idea whether its good or bad for me, and chose this kind of “creature of comfort” acceptance. I chose to move back to the city I grew up in after going to college in a different city and only seeing my parents during breaks from school. Im 27, Dreaming of my adult life as a kid was so easy to think “Im gonna move to my dream city.” I moved for college, my mom had a stroke right before I graduated, and I immediately moved back home after college and simply never regretted it because i never want to experience being away and something bad happening again. It does cause internal back and forth for me because I fear that I am staying close out of fear and thus hindering myself and “wasted potential” but I ultimately find so much more peace building memories with my mom. I’ve accepted that as humans we’re just trying our best man and if staying in my hometown means I sleep better at night knowing I live 15 mins away from my mother and siblings than so be it 😂

I don’t want this to be in a mansplainy way, I just wanted to lyk my experience! I have really bad cat allergies and I also have a cat! Ik it can manifest differently for other people, but for me, skin allergies only happen when my cat scratches me or maybe licks me too hard (skin penetration). If that happens, it normally causes a rash at the area or swelling if it’s a scratch. Otherwise, it normally shows as severe nose congestion, itchy eyes, mucous-y throat, and coughing from the fur. Idk if this will help you at all but I hope it does!

Whenever I go home and see the farms (I live in SoCal now, but used to live in the Central Valley), I feel at home even though there is nothing to do there. I just feel at peace and not stressed out. I hope you can visit home as often as you want <3
