Most definitely Firefox extension - as this would quite possibly also add android (and therefor also Quest and Pico VR headset) support, which would be really big for accessibility and possible use cases. :) Right now (excluding paid services of course) the only way to watch VR scripted content is downloading the huge files - IVE could switch up the whole landscape by enabling the streaming and synchronisation of VR videos.
