Progress Update v0.4
Added 2022-06-08 20:28:52 +0000 UTCA quick progress update on v0.4. The work is coming along nicely, it's been a bundle to write, coming out to about 30k worth of new text and a whole bunch of new illustrations.
A few side branches sprout off from this new route which I think will be a lot of fun to write in the future, but I think it will be a while before I'll be able to get to them properly. Having said that I feel optimistic about how the main chunk of story in this new update is turning out so far.
Once I wrap up the update entirely it will be time to do a quick edit, as well as put the whole thing together properly (coding all the characters/movements/positions/expressions/transitions/etc). It's a lot of practical work, but it always offers a nice way to re-evaluate the written scenes and get a feel for if they flow properly visually.
A rough estimate I can give for now is the 28th of June as a release date. Having said that, I feel comfortable on getting the story done by then, it's more a question of whether I'll manage to wrap up the art as well by then, but I feel hopeful.
Now! As for the picture featured above, this is an early sketch of a new illustration that won't feature in this update, but likely one soon after.
It shows Sarah and Samayra, sleeping peacefully in a bed.
Of course, that's only for people who decide to save Samayra, but honestly, what kind of a monster do you have to be to not do that?
