Progress Report for v0.3
Added 2022-05-02 19:31:03 +0000 UTCWork on v0.3 is coming along quite well. The script itself is nearly ready, an advantage from the fact that I had been able to get some work done ahead of completing v0.2. Most of the challenges for now are managing to get all the code to work properly.
v0.3 faces new challenges because it doesn't just expand a single route, such as with Mage and Warrior, but expands different ways through the same route. This means having to pay very close attention to make sure I don't end up crossing any wires.
So far the work has been progressing well though, and the chance to edit and code offers a nice variety to the writing as well, giving me a chance to evaluate if the scenes flow well visually as well as narratively.
At risk of tempting the fates, I can go ahead and estimate that I will hopefully manage to release the update on the 28th of May. From where I'm currently at, I feel quite comfortable that this should be manageable. If anything, I might actually manage to complete it sooner, but the art-assets are more difficult to estimate, so I like to keep a little bit of margin.
Speaking of art, included with this progress report you'll also find an incredible piece that will sadly not be in this update, but the one after. It's a scene of Sarah having sex outdoors with a character not yet introduced. How does she end up there? Who is she with? That's going to have to follow in a later update.
One version is highlighted to better show her body, the other to better match the aesthetic of the night setting. I'm still in doubt which one will end up making it into the game itself.
