Added 2022-04-07 18:00:04 +0000 UTCAnother small preview image of the upcoming update. The next update will focus on expanding the warrior-narrative, and in it, Sarah's going to see plenty of action (the violent kind and the other kind).
Creating the warrior-route has presented many interesting challenges, because it is increasingly down-stream from previously player-made choices, such as for example deciding who you want to be trained by (Kate/Ephraim & Caleb/Atilla).
Part of TSSR is a focus on large-branching paths, but also to hopefully create meaningful choices that resonate on as the story stretches forward.
Different choices will lead to Sarah having different opinions/views on certain characters. For example, a Sarah that has fallen in love with Atilla the orc might on occasion reflect missing him, whereas a Sarah that has decided to stay with Kate might not even spare the orc a second thought.
The result (other than being more replayable) is to hopefully create an experience that feels authentic and coherent to each player, allowing each player have a measure of impact on how Sarah behaves, while still allowing for her to be her own character.
These and other ideas will hopefully continue to make their way into the game with each update, and become increasingly prominent as the story continues.
