Brief History
This was Daniel's first weapon purchase from the Survivalist, acquired as a compact alternative to an SBR for close quarters and urban movement. Despite it's effectiveness in the field, several shortcomings were revealed in the aftermath of the Hargreave lab incident. While effective against many of the rank and file undead, it struggled with taking down more dedicated and dangerous BOWs, resulting in a number of changes being made to the frame after the fact.
Customizations & Modifications
Integral Suppressor Assembly: Specially designed fiberglass-baffled sound suppressor built for the P90, increasing overall length by seven inches but reduces the sound profile of the weapon by 70% and removes flash. Comes with a forward barrel cover that increases modular options.
Aluminum Parts: Replaces the trigger, fire select, magazine release and charging handle with more glove-friendly variants, improving reload and fire control. The progressive trigger system is replaced with a more traditional fire-select trigger system, allowing for single, burst and full auto firing modes.
Optics Rail System: Replaces integral reflex sight with a modular rail, able to support both close in and ranged scope options.
Raised Cheek Rest & Ergonomic Grip: Personalized and custom fitted polymer parts designed to ease both recoil and increase weapon control when firing prolonged bursts, reducing spread by a notable percent while also not increasing the weight or altering the balance of the weapon.
Tactical Light Module: A multi-setting tactical light that can provide, flash, strobe, and IR illuminator modes.
Ammunition Types
SS190 Ball: Standard armor-piercing; balanced penetration and accuracy.
SB193 Subsonic: Reduced noise signature; ideal for suppressed use.
SS197SR: Sporting round, polymer tipped training ammunition.
Exclusive Upgrade
“Quad-Stacked Magazines”: Specialized ultralight magazines that replace the standard springplate with a redesigned coil-spring allowing for increased capacity without risking jams and without massively increasing the profile of the magazine. P90 Magazines now carry 100 rounds each.
AN: And here we are with the second Codex this week, so we're keeping on with the goal of a new one every day. I hope you enjoy the tiny infodump here while I work on the next chapter. And yes, I admit it, this was the image that really got me to invest in the P90. It just... it looks so cool. I can't help it. I am easily swayed by pretty things. Image is from Haga Defence (.com). I'm not endorsed by them or anything, but they make some pretty slick parts.
