Taking a break from stories (It's a mental thingy...)

It's been like a month since I've uploaded the last part of Sentenced to rubber. Ever since then I've been thinking: "What to work on next?". I asked around, listened to feedback, browsed the web for inspiration but there was something that just didn't click...

A few days ago I got up out of bed and this same question floated through my head: What to work on next? I noticed my motivation to sit at my desk was draining. Not because I dislike drawing or creating kinky things - I'm just drained coming up with story concepts. I've always said it in the past whenever I was working on something: Creating stories really sucks the energy out of me. I guess doing comics back to back is taking its toll.

Question: Does this mean you're taking a break?

Answer: I'm taking a break from creating stories/comics to clear my head. Instead I'm going to work on some stand alone images (some text on the side maybe or just some fun and simple sketches). I just need to clear my head a bit instead of being stuck in this same loop day in and day out trying to come up with a new concept. That way you still get some kinky artwork and I get a bit more rest in between projects.

I get that most people subscribe because of the stories/comics but I really need to break out of this loop before I find myself in a worse state.

So what's on the agenda? When will the next piece come out?... I just posted an image in the dropbox folder (which you can also see here on this post). I'm likely doing a few more like this. Nothing too serious. No story, just a few latex clad women desperately trying to get out of their bondage. Again, they are not related to a story or a sequence, but if you're into ponygirls I'm sure some of these will suit your taste.

Love your work and stories, taking time is also important. Relax, take a nap, and think about other things. If you have ideas, write them down, but rest is important too.

Hi, new here but an absolute sucker for your stuff! I would absolutely understand and encourage you to take a break to work on yourself. No use pumping out stuff at the cost of yourself and your own enjoyment. If it's new stories specifically that are tolling, then I'd like to suggest doing shorter form "updates" or part 2s to your previous works. There are stories and concepts I enjoyed alot and would like to possibly revisit. This way you can work on stories that you have already fleshed out alot of, and there is a wide range to choose from. I thought I'd share a idea if doing some simpler stuff would be an alternative to ease into. And more importantly to get back into the things *you want to* make. Anyways thank you for all of it so far, I'll happily continue to support you as your stuff is superb. Hang in there I'll be excited for when things turn around ❤️

My personal experience is that I enjoy an artist's work the most when they enjoy what they are doing. Go draw what you want and if afterwords you get inspiration for a story then run with it. If not? That's also fine. On to the next fun project.

It's not how I planned this month to go. I figured: take a week to come up with something new and start working on it. However, as time passed it became a recurring cycle every day: come up with story concept, do a couple of sketches, realize it might be too big/complicated to complete in a reasonable timespan, start the next day doing the same thing again. At some point I'm just hitting a wall after I've explored most concepts and done sketches for what not. This was a signal for me to take a step back. I'll still do images. I'll just put stories on low as I recover and give myself some mental rest.

Hiya Lerra... you say you struggle to come up with new concepts but i for one originally came here because I liked your style and the themes in your art... mainly imprisonment and TUBES lol maybe even a little scat thrown in although i know its not to everyone's taste 😉 No matter how many of these images I saw from you I always wanted more and have never got bored with them... I don't know if people really want alot of variation on the kind of things they are into? Maybe im wrong? But I've certainly missed your uploads this month...
