Thanks for your thoughts! I'm aware that the story needs to move forward, and the next chapter starts to move in that direction. Bearing in mind as well that despite the thousands of words, less than a week has passed time wise!

2025-02-19 17:28:47 +0000 UTCI haven't commented here before, I think, but I think this is an excellent way to drive me crazy, with (at least) 2 or 3 ways that this can turn out, not all of them good. Not complaining at all about that, though. Several of the ways mentioned are really bad, but that bad will usually stop a story (hopefully), by wiping most or almost all of its characters (in this universe), thereby becoming a NEW story line... If nothing else. I'd have to say that in fiction, dying is easy, since you only have to do it once. Surviving by dumb luck or by force of nature (NOT by a good mix of will and intelligence), gives an author to which I bow in whatever direction you live from me, once. More than once usually means having to find something new to replace it. Definitely the slowest burn yet, in the QT-verse (so far), but awfully entertaining! Assuming that the real bad news isn't the case, I'm really looking forward to the next few chapters.
