That being said, I will take recommendations for a better thumbnail than the one I used here and put together in a hot minute. Please. No idea too bad!

It has a lot of the hallmarks of Groening's humour and I think that's still pretty strong -- there's a gag about the elf letting them do real magic as opposed to card tricks which I love. I think the main gripe I have is that it's just very messy. I didn't like Luci as a character, I think his schtick got played out real fast and I think you can tell Matt really liked Luci as a character. And he feels a bit redundant since Bean is already a rebellious misbehaving teen who is antithetical to what you'd expect of a fairytale princess in a fairytale world. And the fantasy deconstruction has already been done, so it was hard to see what ground they were treading that hadn't already been trodden by Monty Python and the Holy Grail, for example. And Elfo is just a mess, but at a certain point this turns into a script for a "Disenchanted is okay and here's why" video - so that's the Sparknotes version You're the third person to bring up the exact same point about the tutorial chunk 😅😂 I totally agree with the note, I just can't bring myself to cut it That thumbnail idea slaps - I'm gonna put that together after work!!

I’m about 2/3s of the way through, the only note I have is the Soviet Anthem gag might need a bit of a fade in as it’s currently peaking when it first plays. Edit: I get the point you’re making by showing that tutorial doesn’t tell you about the right stick can control the camera, but I already took your word for it. It’s kinda funny but it kills the pacing, I’d recommend cutting it

I get the feeling they’re negative but I’m curious to hear if your problems come down to the lack of an emotional core or the mixed success of trying to make an overarching story
