OHHHHHHHHH!!! I missed that!!! that is a really awesome piece of lore and totally tracks, since Hoenheim was a doctor and the homunculus was a murderboi. and I think the "my armor" line would have been a pretty funny in the show but might've taken some of the air out of the moment lol
2021-04-29 00:57:24 +0000 UTCFun fact: in case you didn't notice it (it's not hard to miss, tbh), Amestris has the story of "The Philosopher From the East" which refers to Homunculus, who came from the east and taught Amestris militarized alchemy. Xing, however, has the story of "The Philosopher From the West" which refers to Van Hohenheim, who came from the west and taught Xing medical alchemy, which became Alcahestry. It was told when Mei and Marcoh were talking alone in the cabin, but we had no context at the time! Fin Fact 2: In the manga, when Al and Hohenheim meet, Al shouts "DAD?!" while Hohenheim shouts "MY ARMOUR?!" which is just a funny little moment.
