Oh, I'm not saying they're related because of the abuser thing. But an episode is literally called a tale of two sisters referring to the and rapunzel calls her a sister on at least a few occasions that I can remember. Idk much about the staffs history with it but if it is the case there were people who ship it then i don't think they were on the same page with the staff who made those decisions to make them familial.

Honestly, I understand Hanna’s comment, but I do not at all agree with it. I never saw it as fetishizing queer people. I didn’t actually know Korra’s labels before (and I sincerely apologize if I’ve ever misgendered you during lives streams or on here), but I assumed she was in the LGBTQ+ based on the many jokes and hints she’s dropped (she’s not exactly subtle) That, on top of the fact that many of the folks involved with the creation of the show ship Cassunzel. -and-, they are not sisters. They are not related, they did not grow up together, the only link they have is sharing the same narcissistic abuser. There’s nothing wrong with shipping them, and there is nothing wrong with perceiving their relationship as a sisterly bond (although doing both simultaneously would be... not Gucci). I love Korra’s commentary and jokes because it’s the same time of jokes I make with all my fellow trans and gay friends. she’s one of the few reaction channels I vibe with, and she picks up all the homoerotic tension in the series, which I love. Personally I’d be sad if she toned it down. Just my two cents.

I know people like that unfortunately, people who both fetishize and infantilize queer characters and relationships. I know how infuriating and gross it is, I am sorry if that's how it ever came across in my commentary. I will be more mindful in the future, I know a lot of my jokes and remarks still skirt the line but I'll do better to properly contextualize them.

thank you for your feedback. I realize, especially after the Island episodes that I had gone overboard with a lot of my jokes and have in turn, made a conscious effort to tone them down. As far as Cassunzel, many in the Tangled crew themselves are fans of the pairing and have openly stated on many occasions that they enjoy it. Even purposefully coding many of their interactions as being interpreted romantically. As far as your last comment, I am a queer trans woman and openly so. Suggesting that making these jokes as well as insinuating romantic attraction between two characters of the same gender is me fetishizing queer people is very insensitive and wholly uncalled for. Nonetheless, I understand your concern, and I get where you're coming from and I hope this helped clear things up.

After watching all of the Tangled reactions it really highlighted a problem I've been having for a while. I mean this to help and not be an attack but it makes me so deeply uncomfortable how you make nearly every interaction with rapunzel and cass romantic or sexual despite them on multiple occasions referring to each other in familial terms. A tale of two sisters, rapunzel calling her sister many times. Even without that context, the constant reference to sex feels very much like fetishizing queer people. If you could try to tone that down in future I would be so grateful.
