Join The Deepest Dive On Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

MinnMax's Ben Hanson, Jacob Geller, Kelsey Lewin, and Haley MacLean are launching a three-part game club discussion on the new RPG from Sandfall Interactive called Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. We're feeling good about this one. The game is releasing on PC, PS5, and Xbox on Game Pass, you can get a good look at the gameplay here to determine if you're interested.
We want you to join us on our journey through the JRPG and Sekiro-inspired experience by submitting comments for us to read during our discussions on Patreon and by unlocking the podcast version at the $5 tier. The game releases April 24th, and we're collecting your initial thoughts on the game in a Patreon post going up on April 25th, we know it's a tight turn-around but we have travel coming up that week and it forced our hand. The stopping point for the first discussion is when you get a fourth character, roughly 6-10 hours into the game. You don't need to be at the stopping point before your submit a comment. We'll be recording our first discussion on Twitch on Sunday, April 27th at 7:30pm Central and then it'll be up on YouTube and the bonus podcast feed on 4/28/25.
Part 1 - April 26th - Stopping point: When you get the fourth character
Part 2 - May 10th - Stopping point: After dealing with both axons
Part 3 - May 30th - Stopping point: The end of the game

2025-04-16 16:51:00 +0000 UTCI've been weirdly hyped for this game ever since the announcement trailer. Haven't watched anything else to avoid spoilers, so can't say why, but I need to play it. Excited to see the Sekiro reference, as I had no idea about that (and it's probably my favourite From game). Also a bit worried, as I'll be streaming on gamepass (I have no machine that can run it). Assumed it would be fine as I have great internet and it's an rpg, but am I setting myself up to suffer? Anyway, hoping this will be the first deepest dive I can play along for.
