I loooove this. We, as supporters, are essentially part of your business. Is transparency like this is the norm, I think we are all on board for whatever is best for the business (ie. Whatever allows you to do this while maintaining the best quality of life. If u need any free graphic design let me know. I would be glad to help.

If we as listeners can’t withstand an advertisement to keep a podcast we listen to for free…alive, we can’t be angry when our “friends” can’t talk to us anymore. Sometimes you just need to pay for your friends’ lunch when you meet. Sometimes we just have to listen to their seemingly uninteresting story because we’re “friends”. That’s what we do. Keep up the great work MinnMax!

2024-09-25 10:50:22 +0000 UTCOn the topic of ads, I really appreciate you goal of making the experience better for the listeners, Ben, but if ads spaced throughout the podcast means more money for you all the work with, I’m all for it! (I still listen to the show with ads on Spotify- it’s just easier for me than digging through Patreon lol). Non-Patreon supporters might feel differently than me, though 🤷♂️

I watch the YouTube version of the podcast and personally I like the way you do ads and when compared to people who sprinkle ads throughout I am always annoyed with the constant reminder and broken up content to fit in the ad. With how you guys do it I know when it's gonna take place and it kind acts as the change of pace segment and to get ready for community questions.

I don't want to say Ben should be all work and no play but if you're not excited for a game I don't know if forcing yourself to play it for an hour or two is valuable? I think you said you don't want to be asking dumb questions about it, but as a listener I also haven't played the game. It's not frequent, but there are times on the podcast I could have used a bit more setting up to understand the game being discussed. This is a podcast I use to discover new games, so I just wonder if an uninformed host would really be a detriment at all
