And on House of Leaves: That is a very arduous book, so feel valid if you ever feel intimidated by it. And yes, Remedy with Alan wake and Control certainly are very House of Leaves adjacent (The Oldest House, indeed) but also a lot in common with Silent Hill, and if you look at some of the thoughts played with about the nature of Silent Hill, you'll see a lot of that come up in House of Leaves, and they also started around the same time.

Rama II is the book which the Rama game is based on and Clarke partnered with another author to give it more drama, and it began a trilogy. Also the game is incredibly opaque, but pretty neat.
