Submit Your Question For The MinnMax Show Podcast

Scheduling note! With Sony's State of Play scheduled for 3pm Central on Thursday, we'll be streaming our reactions to that on YouTube and then streaming a live episode of the podcast right after the State of Play. So there won't be any early access to the podcast on Wednesday and it'll be up late for everybody on Thursday.

This week for community questions on the podcast, we'll have Ben Hanson, Kyle Hilliard, Leo Vader, and Sarah Podzorski. It's your turn to make the show better by leaving a question, news story, BetterQuest goal, or anything else for us to read on the show as a comment below! We’ll choose our favorite and iam8bit will ship out a great prize for the winner! We'll stop pulling questions around 8am Central on Thursday.

On this week’s episode we’ll be talking about...

- State of Play recap

- More PSVR 2 thoughts

- Like A Dragon: Ishin!

- Meet Your Maker

- Shadows Of Doubt

- Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

With the recent talk about writing books and Psychodyssey, it got me thinking if any of you have tips about promoting your own work? I wrote a screenplay over the pandemic, and am left with the question, "Now what?"

News has come out that Redfall will require a persistent online connection even if you just want to play Single Player. Why would Xbox/Bethesda/Arkane do this to us?

Hello minn max. Well Shinji Mikami just announced he will be leaving Tango in the incoming months. No plans revealed what he will do next. But it looks like he will finally retire. If many know he well created and directed the first Resident Evil and Dino Crisis. Directed Vanquish, God Hand, and the Evil Within. Of course the game that many consider all time great Resident Evil 4(2005) was under his control. I hope for the best for him, and any games made a big impact on you guys. For me Vanquish was a game I needed at the time, in 2010 there were so many military shooters at that time and what it brought was so fresh and fun.

Hey Ben and the crew! After hearing Ben talk about the double fine production of Psychoddysey I have got to say that it was freakin amazing. Having played only psychonauts 2 out of the catalog of double fine games I could not stop. Which leads me to ask, knowing that Ben loved the series do any other crew intend to watch it? And if you have do you think this is something any other game company would even think about doing? Getting a whole behind the scenes look is so interesting I'd love to see more companies do it, even if in my opinion it seems to regulate itself more for interesting for a smaller company. I think even if it's only a video or two something like this from a company like supergiant would be really awesome. Thanks for all the content -Kyle

Yo MinnMax! Did you see the *email that Greg Miller tweeted out about 42 of 49 PSVR 2 launch window titles already being on or coming to the Quest 2 in the near future? What’s your take on this? Realistically, what could Sony do to make PS VR2 a must-buy for casual consumers at this point, given that the majority of its games will be on a cheaper, more convenient (albeit weaker) platform that people already own? *tweet for those who missed it: https://twitter.com/gameovergreggy/status/1628093974568402945?s=46&t=V8pExXQTBpkwhLnpcVzu4Q

Hello! Is there a game that you find yourself thinking about/referencing that you genuinely never here other people talk about? For me it is probably D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, yes the old Xbox One Swery game. It’s an incredibly silly thing, but one character says ‘avant-garde’ in an overly dramatic and ridiculous way. Ever since playing through it many years ago, my wife and I will always say avant-garde in that way whenever we hear that phrase in real life or other media. We are big ole dorks.

Seeing as this week's prize is a game soundtrack, what game soundtracks are your favorites to listen to while working?

Howdy MinnMax crew, I've been playing the Square-Enix farming sim/rpg Harvestella, and I encountered a character named Borogove, which is a reference to Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky poem. I have to imagine the number of players who would get that reference has to be quite small, like under 1%. Have you encountered a reference in a game that you got, but probably almost no one else did?

Hey Ben and crew, A couple weeks ago on the show there was a discussion about bird calls. This reminded me that I saw a bird watching/photography game on Steam a while back. (It's called Birding Simulator and it's not been released yet) It seems like there has been a rise in the simulation game genre over the past few years, so my question is: What other everyday activities, hobbies, or jobs would you like to see turned into a simulation game?

Hello MinnMax! What game has the best looking food? Similarly, what game(s) makes you the most hungry? (if it's a different answer)

What’s good y’all If you had to design a 5 game crash course for understanding your taste in video games, what would that course consist of? P.S. I have watched the best of MM 2022 and when Leo is playing fuser and says “I hope Atreus is ok” then starts dancing it kills me every time
